Have Faith in GOD

According to Mark 11:22 (KJV), Jesus declares, “Have faith in God,”

Everyone has been given a measure of faith as a gift from God (Romans 12:3, KJV), and we have the liberty to place that faith in whomever we choose. This gift of faith combines belief, trust, and confidence. So, likewise, faith in God means we believe that He exists, His Word is accurate, and we trust in The Word of God as being true; actually, we comprehend it as fact. Also, we’re confident that He rewards those who diligently, persistently, constantly, and prayerfully seek after Him (Hebrews 11:6, KJV).

So, how do we obtain faith in God? First, we access faith in God through the gift of salvation received by Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV). We recognize our inability to control circumstances and outcomes—for instance, forgiving and loving people who have offended us. After an offense, it is common for us to become merciless, and many people may suggest permitting ourselves time (no matter how long it takes) to process our feelings before granting forgiveness. However, The Word states if we forgive men their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us, and we are to agree with our adversary quickly (Matthew 6:14 – Matthew 5:25 KJV).

Because God has a plan and purpose for our lives, as agents of Christ, unforgiveness contradicts who God is, God is love, and we represent this love; we represent Him. By forgiving an offense we are not liberating the person, we are placing our confidence in God that His way is best. So why not put your trust in The Almighty Sovereign God?

When we operate in that belief, we are activating our faith. Trusting in God, we apply His Word to our lives — to His will. By being full of promise and confidence in Him, through prayer, we manifest the character of God. Therefore, we are ambassadors of Christ, and He redeemed us so that we would represent Him in this earth realm. We’re in this world, but we don’t identify with it. As believers, God has chosen us as His vessels to represent The Kingdom of God, so by faith in the Almighty God, let’s shine the light of God in this dark world (Matthew 5:16, KJV).
